Bosses that break the rules
A wave of new boss fights that each twist a different rule — a reroll timer, immunity stances, a mirror phase, forced locks and more.
Bosses used to be bigger bags of hit points. This release gave many of them a rule of their own to learn.
- Sköll, the Sun-Chaser puts a clock on your rerolls.
- A stance-shifting boss alternates between being immune to numbers and immune to symbols.
- Mother of the Deep taxes one symbol, so it counts as blank in your rituals until she moves on.
- The Monkey King forbids locking dice at all.
- The Plague Sovereign gorges on every ritual you cast.
- The Blind Norn hides what it is about to do.
- The Loomweaver pins some of your dice in place.
- The Echo Warden bans the ritual you played last turn.
- The Doppelgänger replays your own ritual back at you.
Alongside them came the Rot status, which steals rerolls, the Cleanse ritual that purges it, and enemy heals that a well-timed Disrupt can shatter. Browse every enemy in the bestiary.
