About this game
Carve the Fate is a 1-bit Norse dice-builder roguelike. Roll your dice, lock the ones you want, reroll the rest and play rituals to defeat what waits in each depth. It's free, needs no account and no download. Never played? Start with how to play.
Controls
- Tap or click a die to lock or unlock it.
- Reroll throws every unlocked die again (you get a few per turn).
- Strike plays the ritual your dice form.
- There are no keyboard or gamepad controls. Text size, volume, animation and combat style are in Settings on the title screen.
Saving and progress
Your run saves automatically in this browser — press Continue on the title screen to resume it. Settings, history and unlocks are stored here too, so clearing your browser data or using a private window starts fresh. An optional free Zonto account syncs progress across devices.
Supported devices
Any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer. It is designed portrait-first, so on a desktop it appears in a phone-shaped frame. After the first load it can usually be played offline, and it can be installed to your home screen — see the FAQ.
Troubleshooting
- Stuck on a blank screen? Reload the page; if a new version has been released the game will offer to reload.
- Running slowly? Close other tabs and set motion to "Always still" in Settings.
- Lost your run? Saves live in this browser — see the FAQ for why they can disappear.
- Still stuck? Contact us with your device and browser.
