Dice, symbols and upgrades
Your bag is made of dice, and each die is six faces: numbers, symbols, Wilds and Blanks. A bag holds up to 8.
Symbols
Sword Shield Bone Skull Reroll Cross
Swords attack, Shields defend, Bones raise skeletons, Skulls curse and drain, Crosses heal and Rerolls bank an extra reroll. A Wild face completes whatever pattern suits you; a Blank counts for nothing.
Dice
Medic Die
A healer's bone, carved with two crosses and a ward. Faces: Cross, Cross, Shield, 1, 1, 1.
Standard Die
A trusty six-sided die. Faces 1 through 6.
Weighted Die
Sanded and re-drilled. Never rolls low, never rolls high.
Iron Die
Forged for the shield wall. Steel edges, honest numbers.
Necromancer Die
Carved from a knucklebone that remembers its owner.
Runic Die
The carvings shift when nobody is watching.
Warded Die
Cut from a shield-boss and blessed three ways.
Raider's Die
Loaded for plunder — every face a high, greedy number, never a symbol in sight.
Verse Die
Carved with a little of everything — a sword, a shield, a bone, and three plain numbers — so the poet always has the next line to hand.
Gambler's Die
Worn smooth at the corners by a hundred nervous throws.
Chaplain's Die
Blessed at both ends of a shield-hand.
Cursed Die Hold 5 relics at once
Found on a barrow floor. It doesn't want to be rolled.
Fool's Die Bank 150 gold in one run
Half the faces are worn to nothing. The other half never miss.
