Brotato is a top-down arena shooter roguelite in which you pilot a potato armed with up to six weapons at once. Each run is a series of alien-filled waves. You build your character with items and traits while trying to outlast the invaders until rescue arrives.
It came out in full on 23 June 2023, after a period in Early Access, and runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. It was £3.99 on Steam when we checked.
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor (Funday Games)

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is a single-player, top-down auto-shooter set on Planet Hoxxes. You play a dwarf who shoots automatically while you fight waves of alien bugs and mine riches in procedurally generated caves. Completing mission objectives makes your dwarf stronger for the deeper, harder missions that follow.
It was published by Ghost Ship Publishing and reached full release on 17 September 2025, after Early Access from February 2024. It was £10.99 on Steam when we checked.
Death Must Die (Realm Archive)

Death Must Die is a roguelite RPG bullet heaven in which you play heroes trying to defeat Death in the Underworld. Each run has you destroying waves of Death's minions, choosing blessings from a pantheon of gods and collecting randomised items to build synergies. Guardians protect each circle, and you can take on extra risk to find more relics.
It has been in Early Access since 14 November 2023 and runs on Windows and macOS. It was £5.89 on Steam when we checked.
